Some Plein Air

Recently took advantage of the warm fall weather to enjoy and explore some plein air down at the river. Experimented with time of day/light and use of color. All are painted on red toned 9 x 12 oil primed linen.

Studio Tour

This past Saturday, October 1st, was Millville's Studio(s ) Tour. From the count of the director, we had 35 people come through the RRCA, up from last year's 19. I brought my left over paint from the 22 x 28 River and printed from 11 to 5 (then read for an hour to relax), rivers too. The new canvas River I painted for myself; may exhibit it in the studio next Third Friday. Sold another print!

Have included a pic of my studio mate's work, Adam Jones. He is a tattoo artist and cartoonist.

176 prints so far, 92 river sketches, book has only 12 free pages left....

New RRCA Studio Display

I changed my studio walls this week at the RRCA printmaking studio, featuring my portraits. Time for a change and maybe some commissions. The Riverwalks are still there (stacked) for viewing. I am still actively printmaking and enjoying the work.

Saturday October 1st is our Open Studio Tours.

A Little Humor

Another one of my portraits, as I get some new images painted. "Seaweed Man and Friend"- 1995. Recently on display at "Wildflowers" vegan cafe in the Village on High for a Comedy Night (this past Saturday). Was quite fun with revolving comedians, nice large crowd (outside seating) and a cool night breeze.

Seaweed was walking down the beach with the seaweed tucked and tossed, girl in arm, I had my camera and thought it quite the spectacle and began snapping his picture. He saw me and came up to my blanket and posed for the reference shot. I painted it during my Rowan years- to one particular student's consternation. Oh well. I always found it very amusing......:)

Studio Artist Show/RRCA

A few pics of my showing at the Studio Artists Show at the RRCA, up until September 12th. This past Third Friday was very good to me, I had five sales, including a nude monoprint in the Studio show. Maybe you can see the red dot:)....Now out to the river to sketch.......
